5th ANNIVERSARY SPEECH
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming to our fundraising dinner. Happy 5th anniversary to all our sisters! It is an honor to address you all about All My Sisters Around The World For Peace.
As most of you may know, we are a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating peace through the power of forgiveness. Sisters and brothers, peace is for everyone. Peace doesn't choose ethnicities, races, political beliefs, or religions.
Since our founding five years ago, we continue to grow across different states and countries, encouraging more people to forgive and reconcile with clear hearts and unburdened spirits so that they can live peacefully with their marriages, families, and friends. We cannot control how others treat us, but forgiveness allows us to control how we treat others. Forgiveness is not always easy. And yet, without forgiveness we will not achieve peace.
When we forgive each other, we are showing our children how to forgive as well. Our kids learn from everything we experience in our lives. Parents, especially mothers, are the first and most impactful role models to our kids. Teaching our children from the grassroots about forgiveness and peace will help them solve their problems in the healthiest ways and live life with less conflict. The world depends on our next generation, who will take our place and make a difference in humanity. We believe that if we empower our children with the right tools and skills of forgiveness, the next generation will become powerful peacemakers. Let us set the best examples for our next generation and live in peace, forgiveness, love and unity.
We believe all sisters are equal no matter where they are from, what color their skin is, what language they speak, or what beliefs they hold. Every woman should feel empowered to be the best they can be and make a difference in the world. One of our ways of empowering women is by gathering to help sisters in less fortunate situations. In 2019, with our Sisters Helping Sisters Project, we provided 5,260 receiving blankets to mothers in need across 26 hospitals. In 2020, we created our COVID-19 and Conflict Response to help those victimized by the war in Tigray, Ethiopia. So far, we have helped around 12,000 displaced people in 8 sites and sent over 1 million birr for food and sanitation products.
When we work together to help those in need, we show that peace and humanity have no boundaries. Humanity means treating others with kindness, mercy, and sympathy no matter their nationality or ethnicity. Every single person on this planet needs food, water, air, and shelter to survive. Across religions, we are all praying for peace, health, and recovery for Tigray and those suffering throughout the world, and we will continue to help displaced people.
Now more than ever, what our world needs is peace, love, and unity.
My brothers and sisters….
Let’s empower our young children to talk about the importance of forgiveness.
Let’s end negative emotions such as anger, depression, and stress, and replace them with kindness, compassion, forgiveness, tolerance and peace.
Let’s break the cycle of hatred and replace it with love and unity.
Let’s empower each other and share our thoughts and experiences so others can learn from you.
Let’s recognize our ordinary sisters who are doing extraordinary.
Let's recognize the humanity of others and respect their dignity.
Let’s treat others as we wish to be treated ourselves.
Let’s change not only ourselves but also the world around us.
If we do a little bit of everything, the world will be a better place.
Thank you so much. Peace will prevail.

Peace to the world!
January 22nd is Forgiveness Day of All My Sisters Around the World for Peace. On this day in 2017, our sisters around Georgia showed the world that voluntary forgiveness from the heart is possible and became an example for the next generation. Forgiveness Day is a day to forgive and to be forgiven, and to make peace with those who have wronged you in the past. Forgiveness is given and received on any day, but this special time brings all sisters together in support of opening all of our hearts and moving past old grievances.
